Flat Feet   Frozen Shoulders
Most people have a natural arch to their feet. The definition of flat feet is a condition where the arch is not present and the entire soles of the feet touch the ground. An old term for flat feet is fallen arches. Having flat feet does not always cause pain or lead to other foot disorders. Many people with flat feet experience no symptoms. If your bare foot flattens out when you stand on it and it is not painful, treatment is not needed. Most people with flat feet will notice their arch will return with toe walking.

Frozen shoulder is the common term for adhesive capsulitis, an inflammatory condition that restricts motion in the shoulder. The capsule of a shoulder joint includes the ligaments that attach the shoulder bones to each other. When inflammation occurs within the capsule, there is less ability for the shoulder bones to freely move within the joint.Diabetes, shoulder trauma (including surgery), a history of open heart surgery, hyperthyroidism, and a history of cervical disk disease are all associated with an increased risk for this problem.

Calcaneal Spur / Heel Pain   Walker’s
A calcaneal spur is a small bony projection that is formed on the calcaneus or heel bone. It is caused by putting too much pressure on the sinew on the soles of the feet. Every time you take a step, one of your heels has to support the whole weight of your body. The load is softened by a pillow of fat under the heel and a large sinew which is a bridge like support of the arch of the foot that is attached to the heel bone (calcaneum) behind and toe bone in front (metatarsal).

Present day man has become very intelligent. There are enough gadgets for travel etc., which has reduced the need for physical movements. All our time and energy is used for brain work. Hence walking has become one of the very useful practices for maintaining positive health and it can prevent many of the common ailments such as Diabetes and Heart diseases.
